tinto.

this is the blog of chris caceres. dramatically melodic pictures of a random memory that is my life.

work is chill

it really is…just kind of lounging, researching, making storyboards, drinking a 7-up.  today they are letting us off at 1pm, super nice, and i get monday off.  i’m looking forward to the 3day weekend…i plan to rest and catch up on some things i’ve procrastinated, but it seems like everybody wants to hangout or do something…turn off phone much? tonight, zztop, courtesy of alan.  tell you the truth, the only reason i want to go is because it’ll be nice to hang out just me and him…those guys will probably rock it though!

hello san francisco

Wow…been over a year since i posted.  anyhow i won’t even attempt to sum up what’s been going on for the past year but i will explain where i’m at right now.

Just a couple months ago, I started a job at an advertising agency in San Francisco called, Eleven.  So far it’s been pretty awesome, cool people, great company, great clients..etc.  but along with the new job I also moved to San Francisco, over in the Inner Richmond area.

Life has been, simply flying…summer, which never seems to have came, except for a couple hot days, is almost over.  I read that indian summer is approaching, so will look forward to a short, but hopefully sweet heatwave.

anyhow.  i’ll be posting frequent updates on what’s going on in my life to this blog.  it’ll be sort of a self-indulgent kind of journal thing.  enjoy.

Goodbye Spain

Well…im leaving Spain. In regards to the blog, unfortunately i didnt get to post as much as i would have liked too. I’m about to embark on a 15 hour journey back to tha bay… I guess itll give me time to reflect on this trip. I plan to post little episodes and memoirs of some of the things that really stuck out to me…so if you are interested please do check back as I’d love to share some experiences with you. Got sum really neat photos and some audio soundscapes…getting about ready to board…’ciao’

Im at the oceanografico in valencia!!!

ive spent most of today in valencia.  the city is absolutely gorgeous.  but the first thing i wanted to do was step foot in the mediteranean.  the day was not in any way hot or glamorous like that, but i still wanted to see the sea and feel the temperature.  walking around after touching this sea, so full of history, my feet felt sort of tingly and happy to sense return to water.  seven years ago when i backpacked europe, steve and i swam in the mediteranean together and it’s probably one of the most memorable, blissful moments i’ve ever experienced…anyways, here’s a digital glimpse into what i saw and heard.

checking out some of valencia’s beautiful sights.  this city is fricking gorgeous.

¡zaragoza!

that’s where i’ve fricking been for the last few days and let me tell you, it was exhausting.  i literally worked from 08:00 to 24:00 monday, tuesday and wednesday, and i’m working today.  the conference was pretttty boring but met a lot of cool startup companies.  i also met a video team from spain that wants to keep in contact with me, which is pretty goddamn cool i think…i think that’s the best thing i got out of zaragoza.

it’s inspiring to see all these people starting companies though and trying to be the next big thing - it’s hard to predict who will succeed, but makes you think.

the city was pretty beautiful, roman remnants there, i was shooting video at this archaelogical sight where there was a small roman colliseum.
i stayed at a 5 star hotel called palafox, that was pretty different than what i expected and have become accustomed to given my current apartment and living situation i am in.

anyways, work was successful and i think we made a really positive media presence at the event which was worth all the hard work.

tomorrow i’m heading to valencia to see the mediteranean and hopefully go for a swim.
